The Ellenberger Gallery and Cattails Antiques

The Ellenberger Gallery is located in the first floor of the barn at the main house. Roger W. Ellenberger is an accomplished painter in acrylic and watercolor, with subjects ranging from New England country landscapes to the many fishing harbors and work boats of the Atlantic. His background in architecture allows him to accurately portray early maritime and shipbuilding history.

His works hang in galleries and private collections throughout the world. He is represented in the collections of many corporations and financial institutions. He has received numerous awards for his works, and has done cover paintings for Down East magazine. He is a member of the American Society of Marine Artists, for which one of his paintings was featured in a national show, magazine and advertising materials.

Cattails Antiques, which is located in the second floor of the barn, features country furniture, accessories, folk art, antique paintings, nautical, Shaker items, hooked rugs, and linens. The Ellenbergers are members of the Maine Antique Dealers Association.

Both shops are open by appointment or by chance.
